Just talked to Roger, limit on the CF M390 Military is going to be (2) per person. Price $219.95.
If you can't wait for the pre-order on his site, send an
e-mail to help@knifeworks.com with CF M390 Military as the subject.
Then include how many you would like with your contact info.

i sent mine at 11pm :-) asked to be put down for 2. this will easily sell out before it goes up for preorder. i doubt it sold out in two hours, so im very sure that i made it onto the pre order. going to be a great knife
 
I will take my hat off to Spyderco's and KnifeWorks' business tactics. They are geniuses.

edit - according the automatic email I got in response, this is not the pre-order. The pre-order still has to be placed online according to this:

"Thank you for your interest in our Knifeworks Spyderco Exclusive Military M390, This will be one of the first Spyderco Military out with the popular M390 Steel, This will be a 800 piece run with Spyderco expecting delivery date around Mid April, The retail price is $319.95 with a selling price of $219.95, You will be emailed as soon as we are ready to take a deposit on this item, which should around 1st of September, When we start taking pre-orders, we will require a $20.00 non refundable deposit with a balance of $199.95 + shipping when they arrive.

There will be a limit of 2 Per customer.

The email that you have sent us is not a pre-order, You will be notified when we start taking pre-orders, and you will then have to place your pre-order online, This Limited Run should sell out before they get here so when you get notified, I would suggest you get your pre-order in early if you are still interested."

^, Yep, I was also told that an email would not get you on the pre order list, but they would send me an email when they go up.
Said the order HAD to be placed online through there site.

After this, and your thread in general, they are going to get flooded with emails, so hopefully they will be able to keep up with the incoming flood of emails.
 
I got the same response back and I'm very dissapointed. 2 weeks ago we were told sometime that week.... last night were told to email roger for your preorder if you can't wait.....and now its september? This is why the sprint game is getting old. Because its a dealer exclusive they can order a second run,and it sounds like they are trying to raise interest enough to get exactley that..... which in turn drags the people who are truely interested
 
Why disappointed? This knife won't ship until April 2012 at the earliest.

Simply because I would have thought a preorder would have been done by now... preorder and forget about it til it comes. I'm not a fan of being told one thing only to find out another. I'm ver excited about this model and will be a bit upset if god forbid I miss out.
 
Got the same e-mail as everyone else. At the very least, now I won't be frantically checking the website every day.
