Not crazy about the peel-ply CF scales, but I suppose I'll get custom scales made if the knife is a winner for me.
 
Whats the up-grade to CF?
I have sanded some down with great results.

Smooth CF scales, or maybe some with a bit more texture to it, like what Yuna does with his two-tone G10 scales. Ivory micarta, or perhaps Desert Ironwood.

It did indeed :thumbup: and thanks to you, Sal and Roger for making this possible. The build quality on the two I have (and on the two my adult son who lives on the other coast has, according to his report) is as good as Spyderco has ever shipped. The carbon fiber is very nice, as always, and the M390 blade should perform as well or better than anything else currently being used in a production folder. Both of mine came unusually sharp, too. :cool:
