I know that a bunch of Benchmade folders and some Spyderco's used to have this steel, but there are no current production fixed blades for this steel! The Survive GSO 4.1 stopped using this steel so I'm out of luck there. Any other alternative steels like this or any knives using this steel?

The GSO-4.1 is currently in a limited run of the US version of M390, so you should be good to go if you can get one.
Look for CPM-20V or CTS-204P.

While it's not a production knife, you might want to check out Bradford Knives. He makes a few models that are fixed and have micarta and M390. At a little over a $100 it's hard to beat.

I am glad you are enjoying knife! The M390 is really a pleasure to work with and is holding an excellent edge. While I have not seen any published reviews of the Orwell or Gatsby being tested outdoors. All preliminary reports have been really good! Nice and light, good balance, easy to pack and carry

Big Chris Custom Knives makes customs in M390 that are well in your price range...just a thought.

Look into Shawn Hatcher knives. He'll make a fixed blade with damn near any steel you want. I had him make me an M390 fixed blade

Same here! Orange will be harder to lose.
I'm actually hoping someone like Bradford could make a knife like this in the M390 steel. Of course the design would have to be different, but it'd be interesting to see what Bradford could do!
2 grinds I think would work for that blade. Saber and convex grinds are the grinds that I think would fit nicely! Then again, I'm a snob when it comes to the sabre and convex grinds.
