M390 Fixed Blades that are in production?

Grind with tapered swedge and slightly shorter primary bevel

More traditional Sabre 3/4 height

Is that little hook of metal right there going to be part of the finished product?

Regardless, the blades look beautiful :D I can't wait for there to be scales + sheath available!

Good question, no it is not, it is just during grinding so that the finished tip does not get dinged or damaged during grinding or tumbling

That looks nice. I've got the Gatsby and Orwell so far, so I'll look forward to adding one of those when they come out.

Thanks Guys! Pricing should fall near my other designs, I'm hesitant to nail a price before I finish the handles. I'm thinking CARBON FIBER!!! About 3/16" thick, radius all edges but nothing too crazy :)

+1 for CF or G10 as long as you can get a solid purchase on the knife without it slipping due to fluids, grease etc.

After a long process, these Guardian3 knives are nearly complete. Thank you for your patience, I assure you, they will be worth the wait!

They are now done, just in time for Fathers Day!

I'm actually working on the next batch of Gatsby SE (special edition) behind the scenes. Those should be finished in 6-8 weeks.

Could you please post a side by side picture comparing the Gatsby and Orwell models. Please explain the differences in design and function between the models. They seem very similar from my observations.I can't seem to find a picture of the darkened Guardian3.Could you please post a picture of that model in cammo?
Thank you,

This is a Darkened OD Green with Tumbled fasteners

Here is a Stonewash Red with Tumbled Fasteners

It is difficult to tell in some of the pictures, the Darkened Stonewash is one chemically and is NOT painted, it should hold up well. The Stonewash is nearly scratch proof, in my opinion the most durable finish out there.

This is a Maroon Gatsby (sold out), the difference is the Fit and Finish
Bradford_Orwell_Web-6338.jpg
This is a Maroon Orwell, the scales are not fully reaching the profile of the spine, the scales are removable

The blade geometry, grind and profile are the same. The difference being the scales, and the level of Fit and Finish.
Orwell handle are left in a Matte finish, Gatsby are polished and buffed
Hope this helps to clear up the difference between Orwell and Gatsby.
Thanks!

Does that leather sheath have a kydex insert? Who made them for you, Buy Brown again (hopefully)?

I am coordinating with Buy Brown to do some more kydex for these in the near future. The current leather sheath option does have plastic liners so the blade won't cut up the leather. It was made specifically to fit this blade. Fit nice a snug and uses the choil to secure the knife inside the sheath. Cost wise, the leather made more sense for this initial release, however I'm sure David Brown would be happy to make a custom kydex for this right now.
Thanks!
