M390 millie weird issue i had which is soon to be fixed

I just can't wait for my millie's washers to come in and use this beast! And to be honest i think the best quality control comes from their taiwan factory, if i was in charge of any knife company i would do exactly what sal does with those guys.

 M390 Military is one of my favorite knives. Spyderco knocked it out of the park with this one!

This is nowhere close to the first time a weird washer issue has been reported, so I don't know why there is suspicion of use before purchase.

The interesting thing is I've only seen reports of it on Golden made models.

You're a better man than I am...but I remember all those threads. Yes, it does happen. I can't imagine what's wrong with those people in Golden. Myself, I *never* make any mistakes. :grumpy:  :D

You know how gnomes go in your dryer, take your socks, and move them somewhere else in your house? I suspect the mountains of Golden are filled with them, and the population is so vast that some have moved onto other objects. Washers just happen to be one of those other objects.

:D

Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to take a shot at Golden's production. A missing washer is possibly the smallest mistake that could happen with a knife. These M390 Millies in particular are even a step up. I posted a thread awhile back--and you can see it in the picture on the first page--that they even improved the finish along the detent track. It makes it incredibly slick, and you can't feel the detent ball hitting small ridges left over from grinding, as one normally can on a liner or frame lock knife. It's just interesting that a washer mistake seems to come up only on Golden knives--and that's solely meant as/from my own observation/recollection. (Actually I remember at least a couple threads on Calys missing washers, but that's a different situation :p )
