Both of these steels are my favorite. I also like Super Blue. The Benchmade 586 is very nice in M390. You may still be able to find a Shoki in carbon fiber and M390. I just got a Benchmade Gold Class 940 in M4. It is difficult to beat the Gayle Bradley for the price.

I have BM Contego in M4 and it is really hard to sharpen...but very good knife and steel for the price.

Remember that a few companies make steels identical to m390, I believe the aliases are 204p and 20cp
