M390 sheets

My steel supplier has over ordered some high-quality blade steel and is willing to sell it for a lower price than I normally find. Here are the details:

Manufacturer - Bohler-Uddeholm
Steel Type - M390
Thickness - .137 with some scale
Size - Approx 24" x 36"

I am not sure I want to go into this realm of tool steel and thought that I would offer to facilitate a group special order for anyone who might want to work with this metal. I would also be very interested to know if this is an item I should start to carry. For groups, I can have the steel water cut down to size to make ordering easier. Please pm me for details or to share your thoughts on this steel.
 
I would definitely be interested although I can't get a large quantity at this time. This stuff is really hard to get but is very desirable thanks to several manufacturers. From my understanding it's basically CPM20CV from a different manufacturer that is 3rd generation powder metallurgy, so it's a little cleaner than the 20CV and would likely offer a few minor benefits.
 
I would definitely be interested in some 1.25" X 36" and some 1.5" X 36" bars if the price is right.
 
No worries it is a group buy so cuts are factored in. What length and width would you be interested in may I ask?
 
Yeah I would be interested for the right price. 1.25"x 36" If this works out I might try to come pick it up from you in person to save on shipping if possible?
 
I will have a quote on getting the sheets cut this Monday. I will focus only on 1.5" and 2" since that seems to be the most popular. Please pm me if you would want a different cut.

I would be ok with that. I love to meet fellow knife crafters anyway.
 
Let me know the price. I'll probably buy a sheet if reasonable.

1.5 and 2" cuts are perfect if you get it all sheared too.

Just wanted to give a big "Thank You" to Bear for doing this thread the right way. Any talk of orders and pricing can be done by email, PM, or in the group buy thread in The Exchange ( when he puts it up). Dealers have to put a lot of personal cash out to do these special buys, and getting the group aware of that is what threads like this do.

I have steel sitting in the house, garage, and shops already - I am afraid my wife will shoot me if I bought a sheet of this :)
