You really have to look close to find the blem so we'll play a little game. I'll sell this "near blem" for $90 even. If you can tell me what the blem is I'll give you a $20 credit against next purchase.

17" and 1.5 pounds. Very neat work by Amtrak.

Email.

Does this mean it's visible in your pic, or only once you see it in person?

These are great blades.
Anyone considering something in the 17-18" range should try one.
It can easily fill in for an 18" AK.
Just remember weights & thicknesses do vary within a given size model.
So check those specs when comparing.

looks like a hairline in the handle at center..but could be that funny skin coloration in the blade too :D

blade's too long for scabbard,
if not,
then almost, & blade width near tip
almost too much for the scabbard.

Is it a little water-spot looking mark towards the top of the mouth of the sheath?

The fuller stops too short.....should progress further into the curve?

This is hard UB......you sure there is a blem? :D

The fact that no one has said "because it looks like a Nazi M-43" is evidence that this is a very well informed group of Westerners.

I'm gonna have to guess that the blem is inproper cho geometry--it failed the Standard Uncle Bill Blood Immersion and Drip-off Test...or perhaps passed the test with bison blood but failed with American beef blood? I know HI holds to the highest standards of quality!

We want the wood sap to drip on the grip to provide additional
gripping retension! OK... so that's a low cho theory at this point.

Horn needs Hooflex. A little shrinkage, evidenced by a little too much tang exposed.
