I had a surprise waiting on me when I got off work today. This M43 is a monster compared to my 15" AK! Very nice, thanks Uncle Bill.

I think it stands for "mark '43" (as in 1943), but I may be mistaken.

I was thinking it was Model 43 (as in 1943)..but wasn't sure.

I love the looks of the M43, hopefully it's my next khukuri. I really like khukuri's with curved spines, they are my favorites.
