Is this the one you mean?

if any were sold, it was under the table type stuff. these were prototypes and never manufactured whole scale. would have been cool though . - Eric

Thats the one. I just read a review in a magazine about it years ago and have been in love ever since. Though I will never own one.:grumpy:

I just got back from a gun show - seen 1 M6, blued hornet - swweeeeeet. It had the trigger guard removed and didn't have a scratch on it. Sorry to say I passed on the purchase for two reasons: First, it was listed at $450 - too steep for my blood; Second, I really want a stainless. I would have settled for this one had the price been a little better.

I came home empty handed - no guns, no knives - there were no "good" knives there, there were a few nice Kimbers and almost bought a Kimber Tactical for $1000, but opted to wait till next weeks gun show.

Sorry I missed a previous question about the Savage 24.....all 24's are take downs. The new models are heavy framed to accept 12 G and weigh in at 8 pounds. The smaller framed older versions are 1-1.5 pounds lighter and much handier. One of these in 20 G/30-30 would be the ultimate Northern Rambling piece.

The 24C is the lightest version weighing in at around 6 pounds or about twice that of the M6.

Just to add some fire to the thread, it was brought to my attention that NEF is coming out with a .357/.20 ga slug gun matched pair this year. I heart .357.
