Was wondering if $130 is a good price to pay on a good condition M9 bayonet? Any help on this. Looks like a hefty little hunk of steel.

Hey Cobalt....

Is this a standard M-16 type bayonet ????
I'm not sure what the M9 is,, but I thought it was the M16...

If it is,,I think I paid $25.00 brand new at a gun show....

It's now stuck in a log on my work bench..
Don't use it for much other than prying staples out of stuff....

Unless you are a collector of bayonets,, and this one is truely worth $130.00 I think you'd be much more happy with something different for field use....

A Real hard working knife,,one that will do whatever you want it to would be the Fallkniven AI or SI.....

Hope this helps..

Eric, you probably have the M7 bayonet. That was the original bayonet for the M16/AR15 family. The M9 is the current issue with more of a bowie blade rather than a slim spearpoint style.

Cobalt, I don't know if that's a good price or not, the M9 never really caught my eye.

Louis, thanks, I thought they were asking to much for those used ones.

Price will depend on brand too. Lancay are typically cheaper than Phrobis. And Buck's tend to demand a premium. Check out Ebay and you can find some great prices.

Hey Guys...

Yup I checked it out mine is an M7..
Thanks for the Head-Zup...
