I don't think they are through hardened, but what do I know? On your third pic with the busse that there is a line/indentation that show a little near the choil that would be in the correct spot for the hamon.

Now that I've seen how the tips are a bit sturdier, I'm thinking I might end up keeping one and selling off the M9LE. We'll have to see how they feel in hand before I make that decision.

Man! Like you said when you snagged that... you saved people from the agony of contemplation for as long as it sat out there. That is one tough a$$ lookin knife.

If I stare at it long enough, I just might need one. My fingers have become so accustom to typing "I'll take it"... they just do it on their own now.

I'm still torn as to whether I like the CG or the LE better. I have to decide which one to keep. Hopefully my CG will be here tomorrow and it'll make the decision easier.

You'll be first on my list of people to contact if I decide to sell the LE, Adrock :D :D :D

Loving my M9LE but the CG is looking pretty nice. Looks a little beefier and my SR101 got mucho ugly so having one with a coat would be nice.

Thanks for the pics.

My thoughts exactly. I can polish up my m9le, and tuff cloths do a lot to protect it, but with a CG version it wouldn't be an issue.

M9 LE, full height flat grind, satin finish!! Beat it and enjoy the beauty marks!!!

See... there they go again...:D

i like that m9,is it a heavy blade,or does it feel heavy in the hand, can you compare it to another knife, aloha

The CG looks like it should be significantly more blade heavy and likely the better chopped. How does it feel in hand?

The CG doesn't feel all that different from the LE in my hands. I'm still deciding which one to keep. My Buy Brown open spine sheath fits both, but it fits the LE better.

Yeah definitely tighter on the CG - I think a closed spine kydex probably wouldnt fit, but the open spine can flex enough to make room for the saber grind of the CG

In person, the extra beefiness of the tip is readily apparent. I've beaten my M9LE pretty hard, but would be even more confident subjecting the CG to a much harsher beating. The CG still has a pretty light feel in hand, but the saber grind and beefed up tip really inspire confidence that this knife could take a thorough thrashing.

Where'd you snag the CG? I checked the swamp chat, and don't see any mention of it...can you point me in the right direction...anyone? It'd be much appreciated.

D'oh...Blade West..eh?
