M9 CG spotted at Blade West.....

Hmmm... tanker gray with black G10. Dang, that would match my RMD! Crap... Got anymore for KC?? :)

I sell some, but like I said just to pay for bigger, fatter pieces of infi. :D And its nice to experiment to see if you like a knife or not.

Looked like a great show, hope to see you Jerry and Amy next year. (I will be there for sure )

Just for the record, I don't think anyone here (well, not me anyway) has a problem with the free enterprise system. It's just that when you go to the show (which BTW happens to be right near home in this instance), handle the blade so you know whether you like it or not, and buy it on day 1, but then turn around and try to sell it on day 2 before the show is even over at a nearly 50% mark-up , I get the impression that the seller thinks that I (and perhaps most folks???) am either dumb, desperate, or both. If so, combined with healthy dose of greed, he and my ex-wife might actually have a lot in common. :D;)

These knife flippers really piss Me off:grumpy::grumpy:
I went ahead and bought this one to remove the temptation for You all:thumbup::D

Yep - I might end up selling some of the stuff I snagged from BLADE west, but only after two things - one, checking whether it's cool with the proxy who picked it up for me, and two, handling the knife, possibly actually using it, and determining if it fits my needs. I know I kill the resale value by using it, but I'm cool with that. I'm also cool with making a big fat profit, to help offset the money I spent on other blades.

However, it really irks me to see someone flipping blades BEFORE the show is even over. I don't see why you can't wait a couple of days before profiteering like that. There are some awesome hogs out there who act as proxys, with no profit motive at all, and give some folks a chance to get knives during the show. They know who they are, and they are to be commended.

I tried to snag several of the m9cg's through a proxy - I don't need one at all, and won't keep one for myself, but I know some proxyless folks who might want one, and I don't want those friends to have to pay scalper prices, so I tried to snag em a few.

Hahaha... Thats exactly what you did. I stared at it for two hours hitting refresh. Thanks for taking one for the team.

I admit that the flipping really pisses me off, especially in this particular case when we all saw the knife on the table for $189... But unfortunately I think the problem starts from the top and rolls down hill. I mean I nearly had an anxiety attack during my first Ganza, knowing if I missed a knife I'd have to pay a near 50% increase on the secondary market.

Between the HOG treachery, the "quick!!!! come and Get em" sales approach, and the limited availabilty, its just the nature of the beast with Busse... I mean whatya gonna do though... Not buy that totally sick NMSFBMASH-1??? Noooo...

I think he's joking. Based on one picture I saw, I do think he pads his bra, though. ;)

There is not much that I can do about scalpers doing what they do best, buying out stock to drastically limit the supply to then jack up their 'for sale by individual' prices and not pay taxes on their profits. What pisses me off even more is then Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard knives are sold only in the same manner and not within their own forums or customer base and I have no idea how knives like the DDF, sold only during a Busse ganza, fit into the 'New business plan".
