M9 with black blade

I noticed that Buck made M9's with black colored blades always bring a premium. What years did Buck make the M9 with black blades and how many did they make? Thanks

We made the black oxided bayonet from 1988 to 1997. We made about 14,000 of them during that time. I have not heard of them commanding a premium but i have only seen them sell on Ebay. We made quite a few more of the standard finished bayonets.
