after you macarta, handle , is it hard to polish back to a slick finish ? or is there a better way?
or just bead blast?
vern

The linen micarta will polish pretty easy, I sand to about 400 first. I have not been able to do much with the canvas micarta, I sanded to 220 to leave it grippy. Good for working knife but kind of a dull finish.

Linen and Paper micarta polish quite easily using a buffer with a white or 50/50 green chrome compound. I take it too 600 grit before buffing. For canvas micarta I take it to 400 grit and then buff it with an emory compound. If I want it more shiny after that buff it with one of the above compounds.
