Just heard on the news that in Pensacola, FL, a ski-masked mugger armed with a paint scraper threatened to kill two sisters, aged 73 and 81, if they didn't give him $50. The 81 year old told him she'd go into their house and get him the money, but came back out with a machete instead. They managed to pull the perpetrator's ski mask off before he escaped, and identified him as someone living in the area to police, who later discovered him hiding but unharmed. I swear, Uncle Bill, Tad Dunbar on KOLO TV8 read it as his closing piece just a few minutes ago.

OK, so it wasn't a khukuri, but a machete's close enough for me!
