This will be the last word on Mad Dog as we have beat this horse (dog) to death as it were. We will post necessary updates as we will not withhold information.

I now have all the info I need and I am now more comfortable than ever about my tests. I will not release this info as much of it is personal and much you will find out within days anyway. It is a good thing Earl sold KFC when he did. Nuff said.

Mr. Harvey,

You need to drop the chalupa my friend as you are fighting an uphill battle. You are defending what does not need defending. You are fighting a Kobiyashi Maru (No Win Scenario). You did not loose, you were only out gunned. Your faught a valent battle considering you have no where near the info I have. If this battle contiuned I would feel it possibly necessary to yank the Ace from my hold. I will not, and only Mr. McClung and Mrs. McClung knows about that which I now speak. ( Kevin I finally learned how to spell McCLung - Sorry for mis-spelling it all along

)

Folks I have said all along Mad Dog makes a great fighter. I even said so in my tests which have not been edited or change and they will stand until we resolve the issue about the ATAK which I have. If the ATAK I have is proven to be a fake Mad Dog I will remove the ATAK from the test and apologize to Mad Dog even though it certainly was not my fault. I doubt that will be necessary. Sarcasm? No confidence.

Mad Dog is a knife maker by trade. He does this to earn a living, to feed his family and to raise his kids. It is not easy to run a business and it must certainly be harder as what amounts to a one man show. I understand as I ran WOW all by myself for a long time and built it from just one table at a local flea market to a multi-million dollar company.

Mad Dog has chosen a method of marketing that works for him. It is ironic that is apparent to all of us that the marketing is based on hype. Yes this from the same man who pounced on Lynn Thompson for his marketing style. That is fine as that is what defines Mad Dog and he chooses to do this on his own. The Internet now accounts for roughly 8% of all knife sales. When you factor only knives costing over $100 it accounts for nearly 18%. This number will go up nearly 4% per year over the next few years. How we conduct ourselves in this new media will be our foundation or our undoing.

Mr. Mclung,

I know you will read this and I am certain you have received my emails. Yes I can be abrasive too, but I am certain my last email to you made sense. It would be in your best interest to move on and create your own dog pound. I would suggest a warning to those who enter. People who frequent these forums are looking for information. They may ask what appears to be stupid questions at times. I am certain that you where not born with all the knowledge necessary to make knives and that you too have asked a question at times. I doubt you where ever met with the ridicule and blasphemy that you now throw at people. That must stop if you plan to continue to flourish in this new media.

You will have no choice but to change. Your customers want it. Your future depends on it. Your family depends on you.

Do It, Do It Right, Do It Right Now!

James and Bob,

My apologies to both of you.

All future threads should be moved to community or TG,TB & TU. Feel free to do so at anytime.

Sometimes you have to drag damn near everything through the mud to get to the truth. I now have all the truth I can handle and very little of which I can share. Trust me on this as this dog has had it's day. It is now up to the dog to decide whether or not to learn new tricks.

Uh, Mike?

I appreciate the drama and all, but this is something of a cliffhanger. Let me get this right, in the next couple of days all will become clear? I have admitted an unhealthy interest in all of this. Well, I’m on the edge of my seat, with a bottle of chewable Prozac.

Prozac now comes in chewable?
Where can I get some?

Mike, as is par, well said.

Oh my, I do hate waiting.

I have to admit I have been waiting for an ATAK since March. I should be getting it any week now. I have really been looking forward to it. I guess I will see.

-misque, chewable Prozac comes in fruit flavors as well!

Mike said,
"I now have all the truth I can handle ..."

So now we don't have to afraid "handle failures" anymore right?

Dew.

BTW, making "zingers" (as James called it) along these few days helps me become a senior member for the first time.

Hmm ...

I heard a rumor that once Cliff was told

"You want the tusk? You can't handle the tusk ..."

Mike; I am very disturbed by your post. There are a large numbers of errors in grammer, spelling and syntax which are NOT typical of you. Were there some pressing and unusual circumstances under which you composed it? I cannot but help think that there is something gravely amiss with this post.

In your statement where you say that it is obvious to all of us that MD's marketing is based on hype, you assume too much. Kindly count me out of this assumption.

This is most confusing. I hope that you can shed light on my confusion, and my concern.

Until then, I remain, respectfully yours,
Walt

A salesman comes to a door. A young boy answers.

Salesman: "Hello, I'm selling kitchen knives. Is your mother at home?"

Boy: "Naw, she ain't here now and we's already got knives."

Salesman (shocked): "Boy, where's your grammar?"

Boy: "She's in th' kitchen bakin' cookies!"
