I was just wondering if Mike is the one who bought Knifeforums. Which could explain this rabid feeding frenzy of MD knife test threads.Is it possible Mike knew a while back thet Knifeforums was going south? Knowing that he was going to be the new owner and technically MD's new boss? Could this be the reason for this all out war thats taking place at the moment. Since I have been on the other forum and then mainly on this forum since it started verbal bashing of knifeforums or people involved with Knifeforums I should say was always been a no-no but now seems to be no holds barred.So I guess my question is "Mike are you the new owner of Knifeforums?

I fear that most of the people who are so eager to determine if your test ATAK was a reject or not, are not concerned about the meaningfulness of your test so much as they are eager to have another excuse to attack Kevin McClung's integrity.

Well, they have come to the right place. Funny you suggest moving the threads at this point after there has been enough traffic to justify a seperate Mad Dog Haters forum. Hey, now there's an idea for Bladeforums. Why not make it official, get your agenda out in the open?

Maybe you could start a Mad Dog Hype is Bad, Busse Hype is Good thread. No disrespect to Busse Combat, just to your notably selective sense of injustice.

I hope by now it's clear that I am expressing no judgements on who is telling the truth in this case. I AM seriously concerned about the integrity of all parties involved, and would like to know the truth. But I would like you to be clear on something:

Finding the notches in other Mad Dog knives would not be an "excuse to attack Kevin McClung's integrity." It would be incontrovertible proof that his integrity is entirely absent, that he made up the notch idea as a futile excuse.

I'm not saying they will be found or taht I expect them to be found, and I seriously hope they won't be (please note that their absence would not "prove" anything except that his story was plausible, however). I'm just saying that you have to understand how deadly serious this is. It's not an "excuse," it's a real and testable allegation that a maker has openly lied about his work. We should all be concerned to see this resolved.

Steve - no one needs to attack Mad Dog's integrity. He's done an excellent job of displaying his (lack of) integrity himself.

Mike; I am sending you a couple of 'Super Photons,' one in red and one in green. The orange ones I send Lori and Jenna are not likely to signigicantly benefit from the voltage increase.

It is my fondest hope that these new objects will allow you to shed more objective light on the entire Mad Dog subject, without contributing to your tinting, er, ah, that is, tainting of the subject.

I will remind you that the 'Super Photons' have silicone lubricant (grease) with Teflon (r) generously applied to the inside. This lube may leak slightly if the Photon gets warm, although this should be very minimal, not enough to stain clothing, for example. I will further remind you that I have made no claims for the use of this lubricant for any recreational activities.

How about someone goes to the Navy and collects all the now handle-less knives, and check THOSE for notches?

Hi David,
I turned off the MT Collector's Forum myself, as my plan was to merge it back into the normal MT Forum and have multiple Moderators. The forum itself became too controversial, as too many people complained about it all the time for no good reason. The fact of the matter was that I never turned anyone down who requested a PSSWD, I never canked anyone ever, and I had several guys and gals in there who didn't own any MTs at all.
