Mad Dog Panther, Bloody Basin, Raven FS

Folks, I have up for sale three RARE Mad Dog knives.

First up is a Mad Dog Panther.

This Panther is one of a very few done with a Mojave Green handle.

The handle was proprietary to Tim Tang as a dealer. He asked for the handles to be done in this color specifically as a very limited number of knives.

The blade is of course 01, differentially heat treated and tempered, and comes with a Dundee sheath and a Maxpedition case.

The knife is brand new, in the same condition as when I purchased it from Tim Tang, an authorized Mad Dog dealer. It has sat in the case unused since I bought it and I am no longer aspiring to be a collector. The pictures were taken at three different occasions with two different cameras, and Ansel Adams I am not

I paid much more than I am asking for this knife - I would prefer to see it go to someone who will use it and as such, I'm not looking for collector pricing on this knife, but instead pricing it more in line with current production.

Up for sale, a Mad Dog Bloody Basin Bowie numbered 004.

This is one of ten of these knives made by Mad Dog. They were the only ten made with the false edge ground off the spine as the pictures show.

The blade is the standard 01 with the differential heat treat and temper, hard chromed, and the handle is also made of the same Mojave Green composite as with the Panther above.

The blade on these knives is ten inches. The last photo shows it next to a Panther, which is a well-known Mad Dog knife.

This knife has a glowing temper-line, an option not available from Mad Dog at this time.

I bought the knife from Tim Tang and am the original owner. It is in excellent condition as the pictures show. Again, pics taken with two different cameras and I am no professional photographer

This knife comes with both a Dundee and Combat (ATAK) sheath, as well as a Maxpedition case.

Finally, I also have up for sale one Mad Dog Raven. The Raven is a fairly new model and is a rare model, designed to be an 8-inch approximation of the Panther.

This is the second knife of this model ever made. I bought it directly from Kevin (Mad Dog), with no maker's mark on it at my request.

It have an 8-inch blade of 01 steel, differential heat treat and temper, glowing temperline and a Dundee, ATAK and slip sheath, as well as a Maxpedition case.

The false/ back edge is NOT sharp on this knife. I asked for the back edge to be left dull intentionally. Mad Dog can make this sharp very simply by sharpening the back edge.

It is in excellent condition, but it is not new. It was resharpened by Kevin as I used it in training, and then put it away in the case upon receipt of a Warlock. I prefer the Panther at ten inches, but if you wanted a concealment Panther, this is a hard knife to beat.

It is the bigger of the two knives in the following pictures. The Voodoo Hound was sold a while back.

I neglected to note that should anyone want two of these, I'll drop the combined price by 10%. I have had a few inquiries and thought it fair to mention this.

Locally I will also entertain partial trades for Colt 1911 (no series 80 or 90 please!), Smith and Wesson Model 640-1, Remington 1100 or 870 Police Magnum (no express, no plastic trigger guards, prefer older), a Kahr P9, a Sig P239 DAO 9mm or any 9mm or 45acp XD/ XDm.

If you have a pre-64 Model 70 in 30-06 or .308. or a Classic Featherweight Model 70 in those chamberings, don't be shy.

It's the standard handle. It's a lot more handle than a Coyote, feels very natural in the hand.

The angle of blade to handle is somewhere between a Panther and a Coyote. The point is exceptionally easy to hit with.

Well, the Panther got traded today, and I now I have for sale a mint condition (as in it's brand new) ATAK for sale. It was purchased from Mad Dog about five years ago and has sat in a case since.

The knife has a combat/ ATAK sheath and it is truly in perfect condition. Offered at $800 USD ATAK IS SOLD

I'll get some pics up of this tomorrow when it's light out.
