Mad Dog -VS- Busse... Inside Pics!

How hard was it to get the handles off? Could you tell us how you did it?

I was thinking about going to an airport or court room with my CS Bush Ranger--to ask the guards if I could run my knife through the x-ray machine to see the tang construction. Too scared to do it though.

Yeah Mike, how'd you get 'em off so cleanly?

By the way, what are you doing with those precious half-handled knives now that you're done torturing them?

Yeah! Drop the chalupa...

The Busse #7 in the handle comparison photo
has a black finished blade. I thought that
the only Busse's with black blades were the
Bladeforums #9's.

Does Busse make a black-blade #7???

If I'm not mistaken, there appears to be "hard chrome on the right side of the ATAK tang. Is that what I'm seeing?

Mike did you use a band saw or hack saw to remove the grips? It's very clean.

Anyway, I think either knife is more than I will ever need. At least I hope.

A fine edge band saw does the trick everytime.

All Busse's have black blades now. The #7's are black bladed. The 9's will now only have a few satin finish ones which is exactly oposite of what it was going to be.

We were originally going to have the only black bladed #9's. Now we will be the only ones to get the satin #9's! Oh well!

Mike,

Thanks for all of the testing (this and others), you have me completely worked into a frenzy. My #7 arrived today, I can not hardly wait to get home and handle it. Sounds like I purchased the correct knife.
