I got it from my mentor (I made two knives total myself :). He is a retired gentleman who is my neighbor, I learn things from him, car, spray painting, all kinds of wisdom and can borrow tools. He heat treats everything himself, has built an oven and has special quench oil for 1095 or air cooling. He makes hunting and tactical knives. This knife was like a one off he had made. I liked the micarta and coffin handle and this design think he copied a very old design but not sure where it came from. He has cool knives that fit your hand really well, but this one was unlike the rest of what he is producing. He goes to gun shows to sell, doesnt have a BF presence or a website. I got a really good deal with two sheaths :).
