I like a nice Burlap. I also like how easy or forgiving Micarta can be with quick modifications.

A little more Micarta Madness today. I'm so much more into this one since I changed its CF scales out. Now it's kept right alongside my CruCarta PM2 and CC Military2. I almost bought the CruCarta Manix 2 over Fathers' Day weekend from KC with their offer of double rewards points but sucked it up and resisted. Kinda wishing I'd caved in, though....

Pretty excited to finally get these Smock scales in my hand. ODG Micarta sculpted
Been wanting them for a long time and arrived today from Suingab in Lithuania
Waiting patiently for them was a nice bronze hardware set from DNA lazer and a Bronze/gold clip from E-Bay
Definitely much beefier and substantial in the hand. Great grip, does feel quite a bit different. The spydie hole isn’t as accessible and the button lock is more recessed and a little harder to depress (no biggie on the 2nd). If either bother me, they could easily be remedied with a Dremel.

What model is the bottom one? A 12? I thought the 11 on top was his biggest model? That is sweet, I need to crawl out from under the rock I’ve been living under lol.Micarta Monday. Just got these a couple days ago.
They are both Model 11s. It just seems bigger because it is closer to the camera. They do make a Model 12 now though.
