Mike Turber still has my ATAK that was used in the first E-mag article. I will put it up for raffle with all the proceeds going to BFC. For five (5) dollars each entry you pick a number between 1 and 10,000 and send the number and the money to BFC. On Dec 22, I will pick a random number between 1 and 10,000 to decide the winner. Only BFC knows the entry number so this will be fair. The closest entry without going over my pick is the winner. If there is a duplicate in the winning entry number then there will be a lottery between the winners. BFC will then send the final winner my ATAK.

Just in case you don't know what a MAD DOG ATAK is, this knife is indestructable and therefore can be considered almost new. Good luck.

Of course, if Mike Turber does not agree with me then all bets are off.

That's a pretty cool gesture NamViet Vo, and if it were by another maker perhaps I would pitch in.
All things considered Good luck.

I gave at the office, and Mike's Raffel, (times 2). Besides I don't want a Mad Dog, or even a PO'd kitty. Thanks all the same.

NamViet Vo,

Sounds like fun, and a fine gesture on your part.

I'm in! Just need the details.

I think you might have missed the beautifull irony of using a MD knife to raise money for BladeForums !!
I think it is a stroke of genius.

I'd go for that; a Mad Dog is worth $5.

If it includes shipping.

Seriously, though, it is a very nice gesture, NamViet Vo.

Nice gesture but I have a few questions?

Does this have the "notch"?
Is it a real Maddog or a fake or an un-authorized version?
Does it have a warranty?
If I win does it have to be announced if I accept?
Do I pay with fake, unauthorized or real funds?
Will Mike, spark and all the rest of you "talk" to me if I win?
Will I be Banned from the "other forum" if I accept a "fake"

I do hope all that would read this realize that this is all tongue in cheek!

WOW Nam cool gesture! And just yesterday I was wearing my MD T-Shirt!

Brian,
It is not a stroke of genius... It is a stroke of Dark Genius!

So I will built the page. You can send funds or order off the page. You can selcet your own umber on the form in the special instructions section. If you get more than one raffle ticket, you can then select more numbers.

If you do send money make certain the funds have no "nothches".

The knife is real. I tried to get it X-Rayed but no one wants to X-Ray a knife!

Mike and/or NamViet Vo:

Does this raffle have the same limitations as the other one with regards to US members only? I'm Canadian, and I'd really like to enter..

If international entries are willing to pay for shipping then I don't see a problem. I sent a knife to Cliff Stamps via the USPS with no problem, albeit slow.

Brian,

Good point. Maybe I will take a shot at this. After all I need a new litter scoop for my cat box.

Crikeydarn!! When I saw this topic, I thought that Turber was auctioning off the Mad Dog ATAK2 that I sent him for testing! BTW, Mike, I still haven't gotten it back yet. Hint, hint.

PS; what happened to the Rc testing that was going to be done on the notched, presumably fake MD? I mean, how long does it take to put a load on a diamond and measure the diameter of the crater produced?

PPS; how about a picture of you, Lori and Jenna in your KNIFEGNUGEN '99 t-shirts that I sent you? Say, if you can drag Spark out of his tutu (no pun intended), he can put his KN '99 t-shirt on as well and get into the picture also. Come on, Turber, this is your last chance to do something racy for the millennium! Whaddyasay? Walt

Will do Walt. Your knife should go out tomorrow or the next day. Do me a favor and shoot me off an email with your address again. The box came from from someone else so it is not the right address for you, not to mention I have no idea where that box is.

I will hold this drawing next Friday. I will ad another knife or two if this weeks drawing works out and you guys like it.

Where's the page? How do I enter?
Although I actually held a Mad Dog for the first time this week, ATAK in fact, and wasn't as impressed with the ergonomics as I had expected . . . ah well

Yes, I would like to hear of that RC testing as well. I asked the same question on another thread but no one answered.

Thanks.
