How did you cut it? It looks very cleanly cut
I cut it with a cutting wheel on an angle grinder.
Also good use of wood. Thoughtful layout avoiding that knot.

Nice job. What head weight did you end up with? I ask because in my Hudson Bay collection is a True Temper that is a 3 1/2 pound head. A head that big just seems too much and adds to the problems of the design.
Beautiful job head and handle. Guess you are stuck around home with the rain like we are here! Your design seems like it has a slightly longer eye like some of the HB improved designs. I'm curious about final head weight and handle length as well.
PS it took me a while, but I've gotten to where I can make a nice cut with the angle grinder also, though maybe not as nice as you did. Very handy tool!
