I had some power Hack saw blades so I made this one into a sort of Nessie. Very hard steel. I have a set of temporary scales on it until I get around to make some better ones. It was a fun project but a lot of work when you don't really have the equipment. The blade on this one is about six inches long and 1 1/2 inches tall. So far I just stipped the paint off of the blade. I may dish out the top of it a bit more yet.

Pretty neato. Where did you get such large hack saw blades?

Very nice dude. You can make nessies from OH skinning knives as well. There was an online tutorial on it somewhere.

Very nice.

I'd take a 1/4" off the top and bottom of the handle, and taper it into the blade. Get the handle to an 1" wide. If you did that, it would look more skinner then nessie, but it would help the feel out. IMHO.

Do I forsee a "JB Handmade Knives" in the future? ;) Keep at it, it`s addicting!

How's the edge holding? Which brand did you use? I have some Citco's I'm working on.

How did you make holes in it for the scales? Thats my major issue with this stuff.
