I took a 12 inch Bi metal demolition saw blade today and made a knife for cutting meat and sawing some of the bones when quartering big Game. I had a little Red Oak left that I used for scales. I convexed the blade and will try it out at hunting camp in a few weeks. I sawed a 2x4 in half with it to try it out, it cut pretty well. The blade is made for nail embedded wood and light metal. I didn't quite get all the paint off of the blade.:D.

This one is pretty thin. It would probably make a good fillet knife. It looks like about 1/16 thick and it's about one inch tall and 12 inches long.

I don't have the patients to make them for anyone but me, not to dressy. I have to much time on my hands.

Thanks for the good words. I am going to go chop up some onions with it now.

Now that's a fine idea! I have a milwaukee reciprocating saw that uses those kinds of blades. I think I'm going to try that! Thanks!

It's definitely one of the best signatures in the Forum!!! And....it's not a bad creed to adopt! Sounds like my type of neighbor
