That’s what I figured...remember this was a Cabela’s in Texas, lot of “all hat no cattle” going on!
I get a kick out of walking around these big box stores and watching people ask the person behind the counter for advice. I want to go up to them and whisper in their ear, “hey, you got the internet in your pocket.” It’s quicker and a lot more accurate.![]()
Well, the next time you get a chance to come to the northeast, you have GOT to check out the Cabela's in East Hartford CT. You think a Cabela's in TX has a lot of "all hat no cattle," just imagine what Cabela's in suburban CT is like.
There's nothing better than watching the guy with a BMI of 53 and back hair cascading out the neck hole of his black NineLine t-shirt picking up a box 12ga and gazing thoughtfully through steely eyes, says "yeah, that'll get the job done," before dipping his sausage fingers back into the paper cone of candied pecans.
You can't pay for that kind of entertainment.
Wow... I see your challenge and raise you one Texas state fair
I concede.
There's no way to beat that.
Three things that should not go together:
1) Pregnant woman
2) 18oz Coors Light
3) Lit cigarette

The most ironic part about Cabela’s is that most true “good ol boys” who actually take part in the activities that they sell equipment for can’t afford to outfit themselves at Cabela’s prices (nor should they, or anyone)...the only expensive things I’ve ever bought there were an M&P in FDE back when it truly was an exclusive (and wasn’t a bad price) and a BM 940-1 since they match Midway USA at MAP and I don’t buy BMs without examining it first these days.BMI of 53! That guys twin brother was working at a cabelas 20 minutes outside of Boston and sold me a ZT. He must have stayed up late at night studying knife stats to get the job because when my knife to be bit my finger wile closing it causing me to bleed he almost passed out behind the counter Lol. What kind of KNIFE GUY cant stand the sight of blood? 95% of their sales clerks have no idea what their selling in their own departments, They advertise items in weekly sales flyers that haven't been in stock for months, and the 99% of the shoppers are ( DINKS ) Duel Income No Kids, getting outfitted head to toe for their fully guided and catered elk hunting trip at a 5 star Fly in hunting lodge that they read about. My friend who is a bit of a joker when asked if he "needed any help locating something" replied that he was looking for Ass Hats and was directed to the clothing department. Honestly you will never see so many well to do "Wanna Be" weekend woodsmen and posers under one roof anywhere else, well worth the price of admission. The parking lot is full of brand new sports cars, Lincoln Navigators, and fully loaded H2 hummers. Did you know that BMW makes an SUV? Why?![]()
