Made in USA

I originally posted this in the general forum before realizing there was a Schrade Forum. I am a new collector and decided to collect CASE after doing a little research. So far I have about 12 CASE folders... assorted colors and patterns. I was in a hardware store to check out their CASE display which had about 12 knives left. They told me they were'nt going to carry CASE anymore and that a collector had bought the wood display case and all the knives. I noticed they also had some SCHRADE knives and was happy to see they were made in USA. Of course, I later found out that SCHRADE stopped making them in 2004 and Taylor has them made in China. Upon learning that, I went back to the store and ended up buying 4 knives:

3 Uncle Henry's 804, 807, 897 and 1 Old Timer 890T Blazer. The 890T was interesting as it had a serrated blade and I didn't see too many of them on the internet. They all seemed to be of pretty good quality...I can only imagine what the Chinese version is like. Anyway, here's a few quick photos.

Take Care,

George

There are still stores with Schrade USA made knives. Sometimes a mix of both USA and CHINA. I have added some nice ones in the last two months including two 194OT, two 77OT, a 33OT and two 152OT all in the black and tan boxes. I've picked up a few others and seen a few more that were too high. I keep dreaming about the stash of old ones out there some day. All of these Ebay listings come from somewhere. I don't see nearly as many Uncle Henry's.
