Made in USA?

Manix - just out of production but some still available
Mini Manix - same situation
Military
Paramilitary
Chinook 3

those are the ones I know of

Almost everything that uses S30V (or any of the other CPM steels, such as CPM D2) comes from the Spyderco plant in Golden.

Anything using VG-10, ZDP-189, or H-1 comes from an international supplier.

Went through the 2008 catalog quickly and here is what I found:

Military
Para Military
Native(Minus one made in japan)
Chinook
UKPK
P'kal

Seems the entire salt line is foreign made. Though if the knife isn't US made, that doesn't automatically mean china. Japan seems to get most of their knives due to VG10. Italy gets some fixed blades they make and so on.

That measure was true in the past but can no longer be trusted for example the Sage: While the knife is made in Taiwan, the flat-ground blade is USA made CPM-S30V...

Well then, lol. Not sure how many knives are made like that. Handle made here, blade there. Nonetheless, if it is US made they'll sure as hell label it so. I would like the knife to be US made if it is a US company, though it is not necessary. I care more about quality than anything else at this point. If it is Japan, it is Seki for Spyderco. If it is China, who knows what city it is and if they truly know the art of knife making. IDK, saying made in China sounds bad to years of poor quality products and even current issues. That and the country is so vast.

To add, just because it is made here, doesn't mean the materials are US sourced. It is all good though, Spyderco doesn't make crapola so no worries there.

There is a new sprint run of Manix in Green G-10 available

Most Spyderco knives are made either in the USA or in JAPAN, only the Byrd line is made in China. But they are pretty good too.
