Made my first Schrade Purchase off of Ebay

...Eric I had already stated that was my last post on sniping so no need to tell me to stop harping mate....
Ducks and Bucks Aussie lingo mate...G'Day = Welcome Digger how you goi'n Cobber?
Hoo Roo=C'ya mate, catch you later. Both very much terms of endearment.
Mateship started with the Gold Diggers having to look after each other in adversity and has continued to this day. On a serious note no Aussie ever died alone in Changi Prison Camp or on Thai Railway during WW11 they always had a 'mate' stay to the end or try to feed them back to some sort of health. Hoo Roo

Larry,
Thanks for the education. It's nice to know that not only will I be schooled on knives here but also on different cultures (of which I love Australia; unfortunately, it has only been from afar). Hoo Roo to you as well.

See my ancestry is Italian and unfortunately, my uncles only told me the cuss words and then watched me take a whoopin from my mother growing up. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't cussing at anyone :)

Thanks for the help as always.

Well, I for one certainly hope it's your last post on sniping. You've made your opinion known more than 1 time....OK Larry we all get it now. And frankly, I couldn't agree more with Eric about you blokes with your tit for tat bidding with days to go. You think that has nothing to do with needlessly driving up prices on items???? Please Larry, explain to me why that doesn't, because I must not be as smart as you. As for sniping, I see nothing wrong with it. I've sniped & been sniped...it's all part of an auction. It can be done by anyone, giving no one an unfair advantage. In my book that makes it 100% fair.

.....I couldnt agree more mate,if I was a habitual sniper I wouldn't like my comments either.....
I 've learnt on this forum how to post photos so my future comments will be contained to posting photos with hopefully interesting questions about our beloved Schrades, and learning a whole lot more about the greatest knives made. Hoo Roo

Hey, Larry. You shared some Australian history. Let me share some American history. During the revolutionary war the Brits thought that everyone should line up in even lines with bright uniforms and square off out in the open. Our Kentucky riflemen would hide behind trees and decimate them from long range including their officers. You have previously said that, "This is war." Well, in the long run the unconventional warrior always defeats the war college graduate. Sometimes when the game goes long range its time to change rifles. If my opponent has a better weapon, well ..., by morning I'll be shooting what he's shooting." That said, PLEASE don't stop posting about sniping. It is so much fun provoking you. If we didn't like you so much we wouldn't give you such a hard time.

Larry,
Barry's quote about says it all for me. Not trying to get confrontational with you. I was just trying to let you know that I do respect other forum members bids, as do most of the members here, unless of course it's something everyone here needs, I could just imagine the carnage :) . We're all mates here, so if we ruffle some feathers now and then, that's all a part of friendship,so let's move on to more important things (ie. Schrades).
Eric

...I can tell you guys all like me now... cos' now you remove your boots before you kick me........think I'm getting old..my pacemaker made my garage door go up today when a pretty shiela walked by.....Roo Hoo...

The way I see it, there's a difference between sniping and fragging. I'd rather be sniped than fragged and seeing as I'm starting my collection, I need everything. So if I tick anyone off, my apologies. Of course, I don't know everyone's handle on Ebay but I did recognize one the other day and specifically didn't bid cause I didn't want to tick him off. It's just that it's easier sneaking a knife into my collection so that the wife won't notice than it is a new shotgun. But, that's the beauty of a free enterprise system. I've been to many an auction where my best friend has run me up on items. I don't take it personal....if I don't want it that bad, I stop bidding.

Hey Larry, I actually knew what a sheila was....I'm now officially an international man!

ducks&bucks,
it's an interesting dilemma; whether to bid when you see a fellow forumite in the bidders list!
I have backed off several times, and have also been outbid by some here; AND, I have outbid some of you guys on occasion!
It boils down to who wants it more. I never take offence if someone outbids me, and hope I don't give offence!
Don't anyone here be shy to bid against me!
Besides, you all know by now I will brave the Koala traps, if I absolutely gotta have it!

Ducks and Bucks....I take those little blue pills to stop me falling out of bed mate..what do you take them for?.....it said on the packet take half an hour before...I guess thats to give you time to find someone! .....had one lodge in the back of my throat and had a stiff neck for weeks......
At least I cant offend anyone if I dont discuss knives.....Hoo Roo
