SEE PAGE 2. THIS MODEL FAILED. PAGE 2 HAS THE WIRE CLIP THAT WORKS PERFECTLY

Yup, I tried another pocket clip for my Red Skyline!

I made it from a piece of Ti sheet I had. I cut, bent and drilled it. The centre to centre is 5mm if people need to know. I then wrapped it in some foil and into the toaster oven on high for 2 hours. Hope it holds up well!

If not, back to the super awesome Mudblood wire clip that works amazingly well! ;)

It sits in the Levi’s so well!

Man that clip looks awesome, should sell it! That's my only beef in the skyline, hate hate hate the clip that comes with it.

It is a little more flimsy than the wire clip. I mean, the wire clip is almost too strong. But I'll try it out, see how it carries :)

This was my wire clip mod from my old Spyderco Dragonfly 2:

I have to hand it to ya, I'm really digging that you're getting this level of enjoyment out of this piece. A lot of folks (myself included) just leave the limited edition pieces in storage for posterity. It's nice to see this. Cheers.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

I used to work for an architecture firm and we had some extra sheets of Titanium from a project. I've made a few money clips from it already and gave them away as Xmas gifts. Planning on making other stuff with it.

I actually got a lot of cool material from reps and suppliers that are discontinuing or have overstock too. I have bins of stuff for projects. Now if I only had more time to do them... I have a bench project I hope to finish this weekend made of Ipe and Teak

I love making stuff from other things. My Dad is my inspiration, he's a carpenter and metal-smith. A jack-of-all-trades actually :)

Nicely done! If you are interested in selling me one, shoot me an email or message or anything really!

@Gmrpnk21 I'll see how it holds up first. Maybe a weeks worth of testing. I don't want to make inferior stuff going out :)

I currently don't have PM access, but I sent you a visitor message

Hmmm.... Send me one for the cost of shipping and I will help test them out lol. You think about using gun blue on them?

Just get the titanium pre-bent ones from usaknifemaker. Out of the box, they'll fit Emersons and most Benchmades. after you widen the screw holes to fit ZTs, they'll also fit a bunch of Spydercos. $7 and change.

@gooeytek I did look into those. The hole spacings are all 0.34" centre to centre. With the Skyline the centre to centre is 0.20" or 5mm. I'd have to narrow the spacing/widen the holes to the inside about 2mm each. Shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully I would still be able to get a Torx 7 screwdriver in there to tighten :) Or I can get the flat ones and drill my own holes exactly to the spacing and then bend them into shape

Sucks that it didn't work! I am ordering a clip or two when I get home. What size fits the leek?

yea, you need a driver that is thin like the Wiha in the pic below.

The flat ones will still need a bit of thinning to give you room for the torx driver, but you have the benefit of bending them to the depth that you need. The ones below use the same flat stock and I drilled the holes myself, but the ZT's had to be ground a little thinner whereas the one on the PM2 didn't need anything else after drilling and bending.
