Made my own micarta handles for my griptillian

well this dosent answer any questions, but as a bricklayer and having done loads of repointing work and basically cutting every joint out of the house and refilling, to working coke ovens in one of the dirtiest if not the dirtiest mill Clairton Coke Works, a branch of us steel, any way in all conditions i have been, and we have worn maybe not the best, but some of the best respirators avaliable.

from full face masks, covering eyes, nose, mouth to super fine filters on 3m half face masks. both of which we are fit tested regularly by a medical company, and of all them at the end of the day, your mouth is dusty tasting, your nose is filled with big black snots......sorry thats gross.

any way what im getting at in a very round about way is them white paper masks aren't worth there weight in wood ash.......better left for them doctors who want to prevent passing germs buy sneezing or coughing on to a patient.

buy the best you can afford at the time, and when your making more cash upgrade to a better, or better filters.

i know i have a strange way of explaining things, but i hope this helps............BTW after all that bs i dont ever wear a mask in the shop, and i know ill pay in the long run.....gonna have to change that.

The denims micarta seems a little bit softer than some other canvas micarta I have. I dont know if its the denim or what but it still has a very slight fabric feel to it.
So im not sure I want to tap it...

And i never messed up to the point i needed more scales.
