Quite a few months back I posted that I couldn't wait for the Tweeners to come out so I thought I would make my own out of a file. I hit a road block when I couldn't heat treat it properly and I didn't want to put a hillbilly heat treat on it. I finally found a guy with a nice oven near me so I got 'er done. The design should look familiar... very much like a Tweener! This is the first knife I have ever made. Fits beautifully in the hand just like I imagine the Tweeners will. :D

You shaped that with sand paper!? Do tell the process...

That is awesome for your first... actually its just awesome even if it was your 100th.

Outstanding work. Get some tools and open up shop, because you've got some talent.

Thanks very much!! Well, I put it on my lap and sanded the scales down to where I liked them. I did the same with the steel. I shaped it with a file while on my lap. I wish I had a work bench!

Wow man, thats awesome. I got some nicholson files laying around *hint hint* Just kiddin! But seriously thats impressive.

I like the work along the spine. If that is your first I would be diving in headfirst on tools and machinery because that is nicely done.

w0000t!!
Nice work!!

That's much nicer than my first tweener!
Welcome to the shamelessly desperate-for-tweeners club. :D

PLEASE go gold and start selling these.
Great work, by 100 knives you'll be in Bob Loveless territory at this rate.

You have a natural feel for the blade geometry! That takes some people years of pratice. You should play with some grinds just to see naturally your feel for the angles go. You may shock yourself :-)

Hey Bush-haus......

It sure does look a great biG bunch of whole lot better than my first attempt........Really, really nice work.....

All Best......

Ethan, that means the world to me. Thanks for taking the time to look. The Tweener design is very inspirational.
