Ive been getting into making g10 scales lately. Ive done 2 knives of my own , 2 for wooly bugger , and this one for my friend. I think im getting better and i was pretty pleased with how these came out. Just thought id share. Hope you like them.

Also here is a link to my other post with some of the others ive done. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-ive-been-trying-out.?p=10274272#post10274272

This is only my second attempt at this texturing and this side came out better.

Now that is pretty sexy. I like the colors. Any chance of getting a top down shot to see the width?

It looks like 3/16 would be just about right proportion-wise

Yep that or 1/4 seem to be perfect for me for most of the knives ive tried. all 5 of them lol but so far i like those sizes best. The 1/8 is just to slim. I am going to try the 1/8 on a few saks and folders i have though . should be just right for that .

It feels prety good to me.I sanded the edges smooth . I think they are to short though Thats why on mine i covered the bottle opener, i like the length of it better . But my friends main function of this knife is to open beer bottles so he wanted to keep the end lol. Ive had his knife for a long time thinking how i was going to keep the bottle opener useable. In the end i just drilled 3 holes and used a dremel cutting bit to carve it out.

GREAT looking scales right there !!! I really like the fact that they go right to the end of the handle. I'd buy a set for sure.

Can't believe I missed this thread. Awesome scales! Love the color choices. They look pretty comfy in hand, too.

Nice work. Those look fantastic. So you don't notice any hot spots with those contours in the handle?
