i'm making a kydex one and was looking for some inspiration.

i mocked one up but need a good way to attach it to my belt

For a Khukuri or something like a Tamang or other lighter knife?

For the lighter knives, how about using a clip like this?

here it is on the middle sheath (not my knives...)

the second picture shows why I like these better than a plain belt/boot clip, you can rotate this one to the angle you want then tighten it up so it stays there for the draw. This allows you to carry a knife horizontally or in a boot just as easily, same sheath and all with no hardware changes.

if you need more info on these, email me since links to vendors are not allowed, for good reason. :)

Had to dig for this one a bit - I don't believe that kydex sheaths are as popular as leather ones when it comes to HI kukris - I guess the latter is a bit more traditional and fitting or something.

Here ya go. One made for a Bonecutter taken from here

As for the attachment method, I like warty's suggestion. Being able to rotate the sheath slightly for the draw is very handy for kukris. Also, if it's a larger kukri (18"+ OAL) I would definitely consider adding attachment points for a baldric rig or maybe MOLLE clips to attach it to your pack (assuming yours has them)
