Hi all,

Is there somewhere a conversion kit to "tune" my regular D-cell Maglite into a LED beamer ?

I bought one for my D cell Mag and I gotta say the light output is horrid.
I have a tiny 1AA made in Hong Kong , no name LED light that puts my big D cell to shame.
I dont recall which brand it is and dont really want to knock a neat idea , just putting in my 2 cents :D

That's honest !
I saw on the "site" several options, they all cost a few bucks, especially keeping in mind that it has to be send to Belgium also..
We don't have LED replacement bulbs here for Maglite, but we do have several brands of LED flashlight.

Speaking in money, they all cost about the same as that LED insert....

The Diamond 3 watt LED drop in conversion will turn your 3C/ D Maglite into a REAL performer. Superior bright white light, excellent spill, excellent throw, way longer run time, and retains focusable ability. For more info go to: www.lighthound.com

Go to main page. Click on "Site Map" all the way at bottom. Scroll about halfway. Click on "LED bulbs for maglite". The site map lists ALL of the products available. Including current updates/ additions to product list. Get a snickers bar and have fun!

Ok, thanks !
That really helped...
What is the best, the Diamond 3 watt or that Terralux ?

I don't have the TerraLux but the Diamond 3W is pretty awesome. It can be had for $25 + shipping. Follow the link at the bottom of the review link I posted. Mine took a couple of weeks to arrive but I am very happy.

The Diamond model is the superior one. A good idea is to purchase a UCL (Ulrtra Clear Lens) at the same time. This highly refined lens allows for full light transmission. Also a simple drop in part.

Found it, thanks! I kept looking for them under Maglite accessories, silly me. For those lurkers out there, the UCL is on the LED bulbs for Maglite page.
