Maglite conversion

John at www.lighthound.com is a real good guy to deal with. Be patient, as like most of us he has a real (another) job as well! He is also active on several forums with sharing his light knowledge with all its members. Too many gadgets, not enough time! :)

BTW- JFYI the UCL type lens has an anti- reflective coating.

A casual user who doesn't mind a non-metal body and a floody versus a spotty beam can get a Streamlight 4aa 7-led light on Amazon for $22 (comes with 4 aa alkys). Add something else to get your order to $25 and the shipping is free. (A victorinox Sentry goes for $7.90 e.g.) My order got to me in only 4 days, not the usual slow week or so for the free shipping option.

It is a nice bright light, a tinge blue but for me this is no serious issue.

Check out the candlepower forums for opinions of this torch. Most people love it for the money and call it a good performer.
