production makers really should be aiming for 64-65 hrc. Even at that hardness, it’s still tougher than s30v, which is plenty tough for edc use and has been used commonly for years.Regarding the price, I think the only cheaper magnacut I've seen so far is the Hogue Dekka. I have no experience with the model, but I suspect that a lot of makers just starting to use this steel aren't going to do the ideal heat treat to get it to the 63-64 hrc where it should be. But my guess is Buck will do the heat treat correctly, will be interesting to hear how it behaves!
Good news, they are already there and they are asking $300.I hope none of these Magnacut ones end up on eBay for $200+
Haha yep, was gonna say too late! 270-300 is the current range. Gross!!!Good news, they are already there and they are asking $300.![]()
Inevitable. Not mine ever!Good news, they are already there and they are asking $300.![]()
Magnacut is the hot new thing. By doing limited runs it increases the demand. I’m sure they will do more in the future. Not saying it’s a bad thing. Why didn't they make more? I tried to buy one but, missed out.
1,000 in 5 hours? Is this just because of scalpers?
