This full tang "Neck Scalpel" is 4 1/16" overall with 1 7/8" cutting edge made from 1/8" thick, hand-rubbed 15N20 high carbon steel. The handle has mammoth ivory scales with stainless steel pins and mokume bolsters (soldered with hidden pins). The mokume is by Delbert Ealy. The knife comes with a tooled, black leather magnetic neck sheath (enclosed) by Tess.

It's here today. I'm wearing it right now.

There's a lot to think about.... beautiful knife, rare handle, rare bolster, but what it most reminds me of is my dog tags. When you first get them, you take pride in them in an unrealistic way and keep them perfectly clean, unscratched, unbent, not understanding everything they'll go through with you.

I felt that unrealistic perfect feeling when I held this knife and sheath for the first time out of the box. A part of me that I hope learned something looked at this in a different way and forced me to put it on my neck before I go to sleep tonight. When I put this set on my neck, it felt like something I see my unborn grandchild being handed from his unborn father. I'm hoping I really understand things petter now.
