Magnets+tape+5minutes = TOY

Well, when Uncle Alan was a boy he didn't even have dirt to play with! All they had then was bedrock, and a little sand where the bedrock had gotten worn away from dinosaurs walking on it -- and he was grateful to have that! Yes, he is older than dirt....

The largest toy recalls this year have not been due to lead paint, they have been due to those dangerous magnets. I just don't understand. How is a kid going to learn if you keep him in a felt-lined box? I can't think of more educational toys than a sharp knife and a box of matches.

Jet B is somewhat safer. I just loved the look on my friends faces at school when I explained that my Dad gets me really cool stuff, they get game systems, I get barrels of Jet fuel. WE made some big fires, my Dad is awesome.

My nephew and I had a great time making it, and playing with it too, and we had to pass it around and let all the grownups have a turn with it. It's more fun than you'd think.... He discovered a couple of new uses for it -- it can serve as a ninja headband or wristband when he's not playing with it, and it's great for finding nails in the walls....

Cougar glad you guys had fun. I took a whole mess of magnets to thanksgiving, I think the youngest there was 34, but we still had fun.

BTW, pix are gone as my account went over quota, they'll be back next month.
