Magnitude availability

Has anyone actually found a dealer who has the new Magnitude in stock?

I have it backordered at KC but they know nothing about the release.

I ordered mine from SMKW a few days ago and I get it today. The process was a bit weird because after I made my order (it said in stock), I called them and asked if they actually had any in stock (probably should've done this before), and they said that they only got a few in and they were all committed and that the next shipment was supposed to have arrived on Oct 13th (so, about 2 weeks ago), and that basically the next shipment would get there whenever it got there. I don't know if they got the next shipment in the next day or if there was a communication issue with the person I was speaking with, but mine shipped the next day (after the person I spoke to said they wouldn't have any until the next shipment dropped).

I guess it worked out for the best, because if I had called them beforehand I wouldn't have a Magnitude. They are still listed "In Stock", couldn't hurt to try or call them beforehand.
 
I got to handle one of these Thursday. I'm not a flipper person, but this thing is dang smooth. Nice chunk o knife. Enjoy.

Good first impressions so far, handle is about 0.6" thick, so very hand filling. The detent is pretty soft, so you get in what you put out (if you load it up, it flys out, if you're lazy it'll flip lazy). Spyderhole and middle finger flick work great. Knife isn't too heavy at all. It also closes very nicely. Shakes closed with very minimal effort. I was worried about the clip causing a hotspot, but it's actually fine, not a hotspot at all. Very comfortable. F&F so far looks to be flawless. Really the only issue with this knife is because it's so thick, you're probably gonna have to dedicate a pocket to it.

Spyderco hit it out of the park with this one! Buy with confidence!

That is a really great looking knife. The absence of a recurve makes this a very tempting offering.
How heavy does it "carry?" 5.3 oz is getting up there...

The knife doesn't feel heavy at all, especially since it feels so nice in the hand. The problem is the thickness and the fact that it doesn't carry very deep. I don't think this knife would carry that well with "straight" pockets (pockets where the hand enters from the top rather than the side).

Don't have either of those, but this knife is 8.2" overall, same as the PM2, same as the 0562CF, just a much thicker handle. Here's a picture of it next to a RAT 1:

whats going on with the spyderco decal on the pocket clip? pic creating an illusion, or rubbed off somehow, etc? thanks.
