What a blade.
Exceptionally well ground and sharp as a razor with a super aggressive edge (not too polished-just right)

Great handle, as usual and excellent sheath completes the package.

Jerry-Great design!
Will/Phil-Great execution!
Ethan-Great handle!

This knife is a winner. If the clip was sharp, it would be very close to a "Searles" bowie and will make an excellent camp knife as well as a devastating defensive blade.

Jerry-I will call you soon to place my order-
There was a knife of yours in a Japanese magazine "Knife" a few years back-Weyer photo-was that the "Arkansas Camp knife"?
Big, long clipped thing. Thats what I want!

Hey Will/Phil-any thoughts on a "dressy" version of this knife? satin finished, Rowe style leather sheath? huh, huh?

Anyway, this assertively ground knife will get a workout soon and I will post results.

What a bargain. Available anywhere for under a hundred bucks. Light years nicer than the old Blackjack version.

I received mine today from James Mattis of Chai Cutlery and yes, it is a sweet knife. I wholeheartedly agree with Anthony's assessment.

Yeah, I'm all about it, too!! I have posted initial impressions of mine in the reviews secion. I will post a full one after I can do some cutting tests. What a deal on this knife. What did you guys think about the balance and movement in the hand? By the way Harry, what is that smiley drinking - Guiness?

I agree! Wonderful knife. This is a knife that you can do a lot of things with. I think it is an incredibly versatile knife. The one thing it's not made for is prying but slicing, dicing, and even chopping, it should function as a great camp knife. I agree with James Mattis, though, in that I would have preferred a knife without the coating, especially since my main purpose for this knife is food prep. But I have sandpaper and I can remove the coating if I want so that's no big deal.

My compliments to all who brought this about. A slim but tough high quality big knife is hard to find unless you go custom. The whole Becker line is great and it shows that Camillus is really listening to the end users out there and trying to put out a quality product for a reasonable price.

Mucho thanks!

And so, to all outdoor folks, the knife is the most important item of equipment.
