I really did want to do the fullest review I could on the 5, though I'm sure there are a few things I could have touched on, and a few other I could have gone farther with.

I guess we'll have to see who Bladite was thinking.....
 
OK - looks like Moose is buried in life and Bladite doesn't want to award a prize, so it's up to me since you guys did good and were promised a "something".
I have a set of smooth black polycarbonate scales for an Izula 2 or Aluminum scales for an Eskabar -- both made by SH@RP -- which would you prefer Nick?

please, don't speak for me in such terms as "doesn't want to".

i'm not buried in life too? holidays? work? issues? i'm distracted, and honestly i'm tired. really tired.

the kabar/bladite prize wasn't a promise if y'all recall, there was a serious caveat that i was asked to add, just to spice it up. i believe it was felt that since not everyone is doing reviews or contests, having a default winner is kinda lame. yeah, some of you do really good stuff. REALLY GOOD. some skip out. yup, you guys have lives and get busy and don't have time. i get that too. that's why the incentive. for exceptional work with the option of no reward at all.

and it's not just about free knives. i inquire constantly for new stuff for you guys, information, factory pictures, data, and ooh aah even special deals ONLY for Beckerheads. can be a slow process. doesn't always happen. hell, it may never happen again. you guys are a great bunch, and you're getting some pretty awesome opportunities. how about some slack?

i'm inclined to think that Nick did a pretty good job. i've got a BK5 for him. i'll even "work sharp" it if you want. contact me.
 
I'd love to have the 5, and I don't want to come out with two somethings from this because that's just being greedy. I'd prefer a 5 'cause I love that knife so much, and I've got some plans for a sheath that carries two 5s.


To be honest about the 5, I don't think I said this in my review, I really don't have any negative things to say about it. I wouldn't change anything about it, except maybe the edge angle.


This was a really awesome opportunity to be a part of, and I'm very grateful to all of the people involved with this pass around. Vik, Thanks for creating the opportunity, Moose and Bladite, big thanks to you guys for doing everything you do for us.

These are why i said "doesn't want to" - I was under the impression that you felt they did not "excell enough".

caveat: not just a mere contest... ;) the review must excel. this isn't just the "best review", but must also have that special something. if the reviews are lame, even if there's just one, no winners. get those reviews out there too. far and wide. might help the cause ;)

I'm offended. Offended that nick is gonna make a dual wield bk5 sheath. Is it gonna be cross draw on your back? Like a ninja? That would be epic
