Sometimes it's very difficult to decide what must go and what can stay in the collection. Unfortunately, this one will go - because it's damascus, which I will no longer collect. A wonderfully made "piece". Get to me if you are interested - at the original price: $XXXX FIRM including truly cool sheath.
Here's what the maker, Magnus Axelson, said about his creation:
"I got the inspiration for this from a piece of Damasteel cut-off that I had laying around.
The handle is made with stabilized boxelder scales with a white micarta center.
The braided leather cord on the sheath sits in the groove in the handle and actually does a great job as a "keeperstrap".
A friend of mine thought it had a slightly sinister look to it.... "
It's a really cool piece, actually amazing work for the price. The first email to rbetznerr@sbcglobal.net saying "I'll take it at $XXXX" gets it. I will not respond in any way to private messages or posts to this thread.
Money order or Paypal is fine, shipping within the US, Canada extra. I asked Magnus for some extra keeper cord and twine, if I ever needed to make a repair (never needed), which is also included.
