And yet another damascus piece looking for a home - a magnificent creation from the mind of Magnus Axelson. I am eliminating my damascus pieces, including this absolutely unique and incredible piece. Here is a description in Magnus' own words:
"The stand is bronze with a base made from the same piece of steel as the knife itself. Base is leather-lined. It holds the knife at the very tip in a leather lined Damasteel "bead" and with a strong magnet. This makes it easy to handle the knife, yet it holds it securely in place.
The angle the blade is held at is infinitely adjustable with the matching small custom made torx tool I made for it.
I really enjoyed making this set as it was all made by hand and it was challenging to come up with the solutions for the idea I had in my head.
You could call it a "scalpel" in an adjustable stand... but I choose to call it Trebuchet." Condition - perfect.
