Hi every one, well it finally arrived. I got this tomahawk from a fellow forum member. Its a tomahawk modeled after the one carried by Magua, from the last of the Mohicans movie. I first saw that movie when I was a teen, that tomahawk has been mi obsession ever since. Its a very good quality reproduction made by a very good blade smith named Stephen Osborne from North River Forge.
Here are the specs.
Dimensions: Head overall 7 3/4" - Cutting edge 3" wide.
Steel: 1018 steel head with a high carbon 1095 steel cutting edge.
Haft/Handle: Hard maple, hand turned. 24 1/2" long
Finish: Aged finish.
Special Features: Leather sheath/blade guard.
This spike tomahawk is stamped with my makers mark "NR"
I took these pictures from the site.
Im really happy whit it. Magua would be proud.
