Well, DerekH and I are pretty good friends. I can admit that, it's the first step. Anyway, about two weeks before the Beckerhead Gathering he asked for my Magua to be sent to him for a sheathing(word?). I know the attention that DerekH and thepointyend put in to ALL things they do. I was really eager to see what they could accomplish. Upon arrival at the Gathering he presented me with one of the best kydex sheaths I have ever seen. These guys have never really entertained the thought of going for a craftsman/service provider membership, but they really should. My Magua was excellent before, but now I carry it9since Wednesday) uninhibited. It gets a great tool at your fingertips, and that's a beautiful thing.

Anyway, here's the pix.

Aside from the aesthetics, which obviously are great, the retention is second to none. The teklok is not my favorite attachment method, but works very well for this sheath because of the size. The ranger band is something they threw on there to keep the sheath in place on a belt. It works pretty well, I've noticed zero slippage since first beginning use of the sheath last Wednesday.

Looks great!
I like the mini tech locks.

Really nice work! I like the sheath I got with mine, but that would make it a lot easier to carry while hiking. Taking orders yet?

I took a few better pix yesterday while getting a shot for Derek of my Leatherman tool mod that Todd and I did. I'll post the Leatherman mod elsewhere, but here's the Magua with sheath. I think the lighting/background was a bit better.

Skeletool mod, added a Jeep key. This amused nobody here except me.

I really thought the skeletool mod was cool. And a pretty fun quick project. Gonna have to pick one of those up. Maybe I can talk the wife into telling Santa to bring me on for X-mas.

Looks like a very well made sheath for a fine knife. After looking them over at the gathering I ordered a couple. The retention is crazy.

Thanks for all the kind words folks! Me and Pointy really enjoy working with kydex and it's nice to hear that people think we don't necessarily suck at it. ;)

The goal is for Pointy to go orange and start offering them, as well as a few other gadgets we have thought up. We'll let you guys know when that happens. Again, thanks!

I would gladly trade a skeletool for a skelemag... ;)
