Speaking of the SERE 2000, I just love this knife. I still think if one of the custom makers here were putting out the exact same knife, it would cost $200 more and still be worth every penny.
And I just "bonded" with the SERE. Thankfully my girlfriend is a nurse and patched me up enough to type. The SERE or my BM710 would be a tough call as to favorite knife.
Speaking of the AMK 2000. On mine, the blade wasn't as smooth as I wanted it without lossening the pivot too much and the blade was just slightly off center when closed. I took it apart, lubed it and reassembled it and now the blade is dead center and opens extemely smooth. And the lockup is tight and solid. This is a great knife.
Yes it is and now I understand what everyone has been bragging about. I love the pop/click when the blade locks open. It doesn't flip open with a thumb quite as easily as the BM but its a solid piece of work. Are all Al Mars this good?
