Me and Maisy went to one of our regular hiking spots today. When we reached the mud flats near the waters edge I came across some deer tracks....
I followed these out of the mud flats and across some vegetation until they came out at some dry soil near the wood line.....
With my tracking practice done for the day we went to our favourite spot to sit back and drink some tea !
As I lay back Maisy stood guard, ya never know when those big foots will strike !!!!
These were the knives I took today...
We set off on the return leg of our trip, the going was quite steep and I found it really tough today !
Spotted this little guy as we hiked....
Nearly at the top and another rest stop.....
At the top we found some Huckleberries ( Vaccinium parvifolium ) to snack on !!!
Seems a Squirrel had been snacking as well, you can tell if it was a squirrel or a mouse because the mouse leaves a smoother stalk and very often leaves no end !
