Sorry for the lack of Becker content here but....

I thought I was having a no big deal vascular surgery but found out the day before yesterday that no, I actually need open heart surgery - quadruple Bypass which will be done Monday morning. So, I'll be out of action for at least the rest of the month and probably into early spring before I am back to being myself. The shop will be closed which especially sucks because I just bought a 2x72 Wilton grinder that I won't be able to use for some time.

Would appreciate prayers, not just for me, but for my wife and Psyop who will be putting up with (I hope) a very grumpy guy for some time to come.

Mr. Becker if your plans still include a visit to the midwest, please don't change anything on account of this. :-)

WELL PRAISE GOD IT WENT WELL (they say) but in four hours I went from the top of the mountain into a pit I will bounce out of but it will be a while. Thanks everyone for the support, prayers and thoughts. I plan to be back to something like me soon.

Smoke, prayers, positive energy being sent your way friend. This will be a piece of cake for you. 👍

As scary as the surgery sounds it is quite routine for the surgeons. The recovery will be long as it includes a lot of down time, unless your into that sort of thing. I can't say much for prayers but you'll be in my thoughts. Good luck and God's speed.

Prayers sent for you and your family... don't worry about that grinder, it will still be there once your up and running

The good news is ... repairs are always better than driving on a flat tire. As soon as you're into the healing, no more rest for you! Up and at that good old physical therapy. Just like being in basic training again, but this time, you'll have to watch what you eat. :p

They let us in to see my wife after she woke up from bypass. Her hands and face were blue! I felt sick. In no time, though, our daughter was on her case constantly to slow down, she was working out constantly. As Malcolm said in Jurassic Park: Life will find a way.

We all wish you a swift and complete healing!

Well wishes, Be nice to the nurses, but give the doctors HELL :)

I thought I heard some bears breath a sigh of relief. Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery.
